IRC Rally: Kris Meeke takes victory in Scotland Rally

Newly crowned series’ champion Kris Meeke (Peugeot 207) took victory in Scotland Rally, last round of the IRC season.


Meeke, who had already clinched the 2009 IRC title in Rallye San Remo in September, won his fifth event of the season, 20.7 seconds ahead of Guy Wilks’ Skoda.

Alister McRae, driving a Proton, joined the two British drivers on the podium. The final stage of the eventwas cancelled after David Bogie’s accident who was fortunately unhurt.

Kris Meeke announced that he will stay in IRC next year, and he will remain with Peugeot to defend his title.
