The 2011 Monte-Carlo Rally to be hotly contested as a horde of international rally stars will compete in the opening round if the IRC, the Intercontinental Rally Challenge.
The top regular competitors of the IRC will be competing, with drivers such as Guy Wilks (Peugeot 207), Freddy Loix, Jan Kopecky, Juha Hanninen, Nicolas Vouilloz (Skoda Fabia), as well as the works Proton drivers, Chris Atkinson and Per Gunnar Andersson.
Other top rally drivers will also like Thierry Neuville and Stéphane Sarrazin (Peugeot 207), and Henning Solberg (Ford Fiesta) will try to be in the fight for the win.
The spectators will also be treated with the performance of former WRC champion Petter Solberg (Peugeot 207) and Formula 1 driver Robert Kubica (Renault Clio).
Other drivers noteworthy include Daniel Elena, Sebastien Loeb’s co-driver who will be this time behind the wheel of a Citroen C2, Adrien Tambay (Peugeot 207) and former F1 driver Alex Caffi (Skoda Fabia).
The Monte-Carlo Rally will be held from January 19 to 22. The event will mark the 100th anniversary of the world-famed rally.
