FAZZT Race Team driver Alex Tagliani, who was admitted to Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis was released following complaints about chest congestion.
The Canadian, who will take part in the upcoming Indianapolis 500, received treatments to combat chest congestion and a persistent cough.
“I spent two days at the hospital,” Taglinai told Auto123.com.
“I was a case of bronchitis. I had to take antobiotics to treat it. I had lost my voice and I was caughing all the time. It’s no fun at all, I can tell you, especially just at the beginning of the busy schedule at Indianapolis. But I’m feeling fine now and I look forward to get in the car for the first practice session,” Tagliani explained.
Tagliani, who relocated to Indianapolis earlier this month, is scheduled to be on the Indianapolis Motor Speedway with other IZOD IndyCar Series veterans on opening day.
Bruno Junqueira will drive the second FAZZT Race Team entry for the 500-Mile Race.
Tagliani, sitting 12th in the series championship after an eighth-place finish at Kansas Speedway on May 1, was the Rookie of the Year last year at Indianapolis after advancing from the 33rd starting position to finish 11th.
