Like Tony Kanaan did in Long Beach a week ago, Panther Racing's Dan Wheldon will take part in his 100th IndyCar Series race when he'll go out on the track at the Kansas Speedway this coming Sunday.
Wheldon returned this year to Panther Racing, which gave him his first chance in the IRL in 2002. He then moved on to Andretti Green Racing, where he earned the Bombardier Learjet Rookie of the Year award in 2003 and the series' championship in 2005.
He won two races each of the past three years with Target Chip Ganassi Racing who let him go last year in order to make room for Dario Franchitti.
In total, he has 15 victories, 55 top-five and 74 top-10 finishes entering race 100.
