The Infineon Raceway has been on the IZOD IndyCar schedule for five years and five different drivers were able to stand in the Victory Circle.

Tony Kanaan was the first ever winner while his Andretti Autosport team-mate Marco Andretti won also on the road circuit located in Sonoma, California.

Scott Dixon, Helio Castroneves and current series’champion Dario Franchitti prevailed in the past three.

The 75-lap race on the 2.303-mile, 12-turn circuit is the final road/street competition of the season.

Will Power wrapped up the first Mario Andretti Road Championship Trophy, given to the best overall driver on circuit/road races but the overall title and the A.J. Foyt Oval Championship Trophy are still up for grabs.

Power has a 41-point lead over Franchitti in the championship standings and after Infineon, the season closes with four races on 1.5-mile (though different) ovals.
