Veteran open-wheel racing team owner and former driver, Dale Coyne was all smiles at the end of the IndyCar race in Watkins Glen, both of his drivers having finished in the Top 10, a first for the small team.
Experienced driver Bruno Junquiera finished an IRL Series career-high sixth on the 3.37-miles circuit while his teammate, rookie Mario Moraes, jumped six positions to complete the race in seventh, also a career high for the driver of the No. 19 Sonny's Bar-B-Q car.
"We came here blind but we came here with some ideas," Coyne said. "We made a lot of set-up changes the first day and they all paid off. It's really good for the team to be able to know what to do, where to go and make the cars better and better."
