There is no doubt now that Penske's Helio Castroneves will be the man to beat this coming Sunday as this year Indy 500 pole sitter finished on top in what will be the final practice (Carb Day) before the classic event.
The Brazilian set his time of 40.1929 seconds almost right from the start and then remained unbeaten for the rest of the hour while his teammate Will Power completed a Penske one-two as he prepared for what could be, unfortunately, his last IRL race of the year.
KV Racing's Mario Moraes was again one of the quickest drivers on hand with a third place. Townsend Bell and Paul Tracy took ninth and 12th to round up KV's final stand before battle.
