Hideki Mutoh has finally confirmed that he will drive for Newman/Haas/Lanigan Racing for this coming year's IndyCar Series.
The former Andretti Green Racing finished 10th in the championship and took rookie of the year honours plus a podium finish at Iowa in 2008.
2009 was not so great for the 27-year-old Japanese and he finally lost his seat to Ryan Hunter-Reay at the end of the year.
He tested for Newman/Haas/Lanigan over the winter and confirmed his deal with the team this weekend ahead of the pre-season test at Barber Motorsports Park on Wednesday and Thursday next week.
Mutoh could be Newman/Haas/Lanigan's sole driver this season since Graham Rahal is now out of a contract and Alex Lloyd lost his sponsorship.
