Oriol Servia's sixth place at the Milwaukee Mile is an awesome result when you consider that the Spaniard had to come back from 26th (last) place at the beginning of the race.
Servia's front wing got tangled with the rear tire of the car of Enrique Bernoldi on the first lap of the ABC Supply/A.J. Foyt 225 on the crowded oval.
From there, it was a matter of staying clear of more dangers and picking off cars when opportunities arose. Servia demonstrated the same skills when he completed the Indianapolis 500 in the 11th spot.
"It was really tough but the whole race was just keep fighting, keep fighting and every pit stop we gained spots," said Servia.
The KV Technology Racing pilot is now seventh in the championship standings with 140 points heading to the Texas Motor Speedway, making him the best ranked driver from the former Champ Car Series, largely in front of his teammate Will Power who lies 11th.
