NASCAR driver Stanton Barrett expects to return to the IndyCar Series next season despite having to hand the team 3G seat back to Jaques Lazier at Homestead this weekend due to a lack of sponsorship.
Barrett contested the first three rounds of the championship before stepping down in favour of Lazier after failing to qualify for the Indianapolis 500 and missing Milwaukee due to a practice crash.
Barrett then returned for Motegi, Japan last month and planned to complete the season, but could not find the funding to compete in the season finale.
