The "official" season may just have finished but some teams are already back on track in preparation for the upcoming 2009 season and have begun testing new components.
At the Richmond International Raceway, Graham Rahal joined KV Racing Technology's Oriol Servia and Andretti Green's Tony Kanaan for a day of testing.
Rahal will be joined by Newman/Haas/Lanigan Racing teammate Justin Wilson in testing on the 1.5-mile Texas Motor Speedway oval next week.
Six teams are scheduled to be at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway next Monday and Tuesday.
Besides Dan Wheldon, who will drive the Panther Racing car for the first time since 2002, reigning IndyCar Series and Indianapolis 500 champion Scott Dixon of Target Chip Ganassi Racing, Team Penske's Ryan Briscoe, Rahal Letterman Racing's Ryan Hunter-Reay, Andretti Green Racing's Tony Kanaan, and Dreyer & Reinbold Racing's Buddy Rice.
