The region around the Kansas Speedway has been hit by severe hailstorms and practice has been delayed as the forecast remains unpredictable for the rest of today, Friday.
The IndyCar officials have yet to announce how the schedule will be change to accommodate for practice and qualifying for the upcoming race due to be run on Saturday afternoon.
Whatever decision is reached this could spell trouble for the newcomers who did not have had the chance to do much mileage around the 1.5-mile oval track such as rookies Simona de Silvestro Takuma Sato, Mario Romancini, Bertrand Baguette and even veteran Alex Tagliani.
