Gaston Chevrolet, whose brother Louis founded the iconic American car brand in 1911, tragically died on November 25th, 1920, at the age of 28.

Born in France from Swiss parents, Gaston Chevrolet had moved to the U.S in 1902 (along with his other brother Arthur). He finished 10th at the 1919 Indianapolis 500, but came back the next year to win the race.

Less than six months later, Gaston Chevrolet was killed when his Frontenac crashed at the Beverly Hills Speedway.
