GM negotiates with the CAW

On June 3, General Motors announced the closing of four truck and SUV assembly plants. One of them is the Oshawa facility, in Ontario. Workers have learned that their services will no longer be required by the third quarter of 2009. When informed of this sad news, the Canadian Auto Workers Union (CAW) decided to protest against the decision through various actions, like holding a blockade in front of the plant, which delayed part of the production.
