The family-friendly, four-door Discovery Series II features a steel and aluminum body, a 4.0-liter V8 engine and permanent four-wheel drive with four-wheel Electronic Traction Control (4ETC). Discovery Series II is a safety leader that includes a standard four-channel, all-terrain Anti-lock Braking System (ABS); Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD); three-point safety belts and head restraints for all passengers. Discovery Series II is also the only sport-utility vehicle available with ACE, Land Rover's patented Active Cornering Enhancement system. The optional system reduces body lean during cornering and makes Discovery Series II feel more car-like on the road. The reduced vehicle body movement also increases passenger comfort.
Inside, the light and airy cabin offers stadium seating for up to seven passengers, Alpine windows and optional remote audio controls with headphone jacks for rear-seat passengers.

Furthermore, Land Rover owners are invited to take part in exotic off-road driving vacations called Land Rover Adventures that are offered in places such as Africa and Australia.
