The Peugeot dominated the first qualiying session in Le Mans, with the factory 908 HDi ahead of the ORECA’s 908 and the three Audi R15 +.

Sébastien Bourdais set the quickest lap in 3’19’’711 ahead of team mates Alexander Wurz and Stéphane Sarrazin, while Nicolas Lapierre was fourth quickest in the Peugeot 908 ORECA.

The three Audi R15+ are following more than four seconds behind the provisional pole position, just ahead of both Lola Aston Martin AMR, while the Signature Lola AM stands in 10th position.

As expected, the HPD ARX-01c dominated the LMP2 category, with the Strakka Racing car ahead of Highcroft Racing prototype.

In GT1, the best performance was set by Young Driver Aston Martin DB9 ahead of the first Matech Ford GT, and both Luc Alphand Aventures’ Corvette.

Finally, Ferrari was quickest in GT2, with Gianmaria Bruni’s Risi Competitzione F430 in front of both factory Corvette.

The session has been stoped twice after incidents with Horst Felbermayr Sr’s Porsche 997 and Matia Russo’s Ferrari F430.
