Peugeot has unveiled its plans for the 2009 racing season. The main objective will be to win Le Mans 24 Hours classic event.

As expected, Jacques Villeneuve and Riccardo Zonta are no longer part of the team. They are replaced with two new drivers: Sébastien Bourdais and David Brabham.

In order to prepare for Le Mans, two 908 HDi Peugeot cars will compete Sebring 12 hours, with Sarrazin-Montagny-Bourdais and Klien-Lamy-Brabham.

Then, three cars will race in Spa, second round of the Le Mans Series, without Bourdais, who will be competing in the Spanish GP that same weekend. In Belgium, a third 908 will be driven by Wurz-Gene-Brabham.

The main target is Le Mans 24 hours, where three 908 Hdi Peugeot will try to clinch victory, which they failed to do last year.

Peugeot will miss the first round of the LMS season in Barcelona, and has no plan yet for the remaining LMS - or ALMS - races after Le Mans.
