Sick of playing the same DVDs over and over in your vehicle? A new feature to be available in the upcoming 2018 Ford Expedition may be just what you’ve been waiting for!
Set to arrive at dealerships later this year, the new edition of Ford’s largest SUV will allow occupants to stream live TV on two separate 8" screens integrated in the back of the front-seat headrests. How will it work? Quite simply, content will be streamed via the owner’s home cable or satellite service by using SlingPlayer software, which is unique in the automotive industry.
“This entertainment system creates an entirely new viewing experience in the vehicle,” said Craig Patterson, Ford Expedition brand marketing manager. “It brings the smart TV experience to Expedition. Together, they completely change the dynamic of a family road trip.”
Take note that availability of this system in Canada has yet to be confirmed.
