The new Jaguar F-Type Coupe made its global debut this week at the Los Angeles Auto Show.
Based on the C-X16 Concept penned by Ian Callum two years ago, the production model will be available in three trim levels including:
. F-Type R Coupe: 5.0L supercharged V8, 550 horsepower, 0-100 km/h in 4.2 seconds, top speed of 300 km/h;
. F-Type S Coupe: 3.0L supercharged V6, 380 horsepower, 0-100 km/h in 4.9 seconds, top speed of 275 km/h;
. F-Type Coupe: 3.0L supercharged V6, 340 horsepower, 0-100 km/h in 5.3 seconds, top speed of 260 km/h.
All Jaguar F-Type Coupe models use an 8-speed ZF Quickshift automatic transmission. Manual control is available to the driver at any time, using either the steering wheel-mounted paddles or the central SportShift selector. The entire body is made of aluminum, except the composite tailgate.
The top-of-the-line F-Type Coupe R stands out with performance seats that integrate inflatable bolsters and are finished in premium leather. A 'Jet' black interior trim is offered with three options of contrast stitching -- Ivory, Red or Firesand -- on the instrument panels, door panels, grab-handle highlight, and console. There are also three sporting colour options on the Jet black seats -- Ivory, Camel or Red contrast seat surfaces, each with similarly matched contrast stitching.
Prices for the Jaguar F-Type Coupe will be announced later.
