Not Your Average Graduation Party Limo

The American Academy of Hospitality Sciences recently bestowed a Five Star Diamond Award on DaimlerChrysler's ultra-luxury Maybach, the first automaker to ever receive the coveted prize.
Normally the honor is received by luxury hotels and restaurants but the Maybach, costing in the neighborhood of $750,000, is an altogether different kind of car. The organization praised the marque for "perfectly encapsulating a sense of fascination and legend."
Maybach's customizable personalization of each car to each owner also gave it high marks. Customers are able to pick and choose from a substantial palette of options including latest computer and office accessories, high-tech satellite communications systems, and the list goes on infinitum.

The 550-hp V12 powered car comes in two sizes, long and longest. The 57 has rear accommodations that dwarf traditional luxury cars while the 62 is limousine-like, not to tarnish its image with a term most often associated with tacky mirror clad, neon light, party bar graduation land yachts.
The Maybach 62 is in a class of one, complete with aircraft style reclining seats, a 600-watt Dolby surround sound audio/DVD system and almost every conceivable convenience. But doesn't a 5-Star hotel rating usually include a swimming pool?
