The all-new Mazda CX-4 made its global debut today at the 2016 Beijing Auto Show (officially: Auto China 2016) before going on sale exclusively in China this June. At some point in time, however, it could find its way into other markets around the world.
Despite what the name suggests, the Mazda CX-4 is actually 9 cm longer than the popular CX-5. Of course, this new crossover features the brand’s award-winning KODO design, but look for a coupe-like profile accented by 17” or 19” wheels, as well as a clean, user-friendly cabin.
Under the hood of the Mazda CX-4 is a base 2.0L SKYACTIV-G engine or a more powerful 2.5L version (output has yet to be specified). Both are mated to a 6-speed transmission, either manual or automatic.
