Along with a long list of airbags, the CLS's safety equipment also includes electro-hydraulic brakes with stability control, and the buyer can spend even more money to get the high-output bi-xenon headlamps with active cornering headlamp system, Distronic adaptive cruise control, the voice-operated control system, the control and display system COMAND with its DVD navigation, and the keyless-access and drive-authorization system Keyless-Go.
With all those options, it would take little effort to get the entry-level CLS over $100,000.
Across Canada there are 58 places to buy the CLS, including 19 factory-owned stores and 39 authorized dealerships.
