After Audi’s laser headlights, here comes "DIGITAL LIGHT," an integral component of Mercedes-Benz’s overall INTELLIGENT DRIVE strategy.
Seeing dazzle-free main beams in HD quality as the future of car lights, the German automaker not only wants to achieve the ideal light distribution for every driving situation, but guide and support the driver in a targeted manner in critical situations such as driving through narrow roads.
Additionally, digital light systems can project light traces onto the road to replace missing road markings and also beam messages like direction arrows or warnings. Via "DIGITAL LIGHT," the car will even communicate with other road users in future: symbols or a zebra crossing for pedestrians can be projected, for example.
