Is this the future?
My drive today reinforced in me the potential of the electric car. With its long battery life and impressive range, the i MiEV would serve as the ideal commuter car for those seeking to reduce the burden on Mother Earth concurrent with reducing the draw on their finances imposed by oil companies.
Plenty of development is still ahead to ensure our power grids are capable of sustaining the drain that electric vehicles will create. Ideally the production of such power needs to originate from clean sources, such as hydro, wind and solar.
The i MiEV will soon be marketed to the motoring public in Japan. When and where it shows up in North America has yet to be determined.
