Buyers of 2008 Mitsubishi vehicles will soon be able to tune into satellite radio in their cars. A recent announcement between the Japanese automaker and Sirius says satellite radio receivers will become standard in most of Mitsubishi's new vehicles.
Models to carry the receivers include the Outlander XLS, Eclipse Spyder and Endeavor. The 2009 Galant will also be available with Sirius satellite radio. All vehicles come with a free six-month subscription.
"Mitsubishi is thrilled to offer SIRIUS Satellite Radio for customers on some of our best selling models," said Koji Soga, President and CEO of Mitsibishi Motor Sales of Canada. "SIRIUS" programming lineup is a perfect compliment to the innovative design and performance of Mitsubishi vehicles."
Satellite radio allows drivers to tune into dozens of channels containing sports, news, entertainment and various genres of music programming. For a small monthly fee once the free trial ends, high-quality channels are beamed via satellite right to the vehicle- so there's always a clean signal no matter where the vehicle travels.
"SIRIUS is pleased that Mitsubishi customers will now be able to experience Canada's favourite satellite radio service in their new vehicles," said Mark Redmond, President and CEO of SIRIUS Canada. "With the best coverage, content and programming from North America's leading entertainment brands, SIRIUS offers drivers and passengers an unparalleled listening experience."
