featuring a 2.0-litre turbocharged 4-cylinder supplied by Volkswagen AG and featuring a high-tech pump-jet injection system. The new Grandis Diesel will become available throughout Europe in Q3 of 2005, an important addition to the brand's European lineup.

Both the Colt, in its various forms, and the Grandis, would be ideal for the changing North American market. No announcements from Mitsubishi Motors North America have been made regarding either of the two compacts being made available here, the Colt which could be a critical vehicle for attracting young, first-time new car buyers that can be instrumental to building brand loyalty.
