is unlikely that North Americans will ever see the Colt CZC, even with the rapidly growing B-Segment. Cars like the Honda Fit, Toyota Yaris and Chevrolet Aveo are just starting to take off; it's not as deeply rooted as it is in Europe, where the subcompact segment is viewed in different light. The European market demands greater variety of bodystyles and powertrains within the confines of subcompact dimensions - simply not the case in North America where tastes are still geared towards larger automobiles.

Another equally valid reason we would be unlikely to receive such a vehicle is due to the high value of the euro and the high cost of construction and transportation. While well-built and innovative, a CZC after certification and all other mandatory costs would probably start in the mid to high 20s, which would overlap the Illinois-built Eclipse Spyder. This is a shame since the CZC would be North America's first city runabout that's also an all-season convertible.
