Toyota brought a number of exciting new models at the 2015 Montreal Auto Show including the FT-1 concept (Canadian premiere), the TS030 hybrid race car, as well as the updated 2015 Prius c and Prius v.
The aggressive, track-focused FT-1 concept car represents the sports coupe of the future (FT stands for “Future Toyota”). Featuring a front-mounted engine and rear-wheel drive, it's the perfect heir to Toyota icons such as the Celica, 2000GT, and Supra. The interior offers an F1-style steering wheel and promises lots of big-time thrills.
Equipped with a powertrain from the TS040 predecessor that enabled Toyota to become the first Japanese manufacturer to win the FIA World Endurance Championship, the TS030 is a hybrid race car that captures and re-distributes energy from braking, delivering a 300-horsepower hybrid boost.
Finally, both the Prius c and Prius v models are refreshed for 2015 with a new front fascia and new body colours.
Meanwhile, Scion is offering plenty of fun for anyone visiting including a pop-up barber shop where visitors can get a hair make-over, and special DJ features from the upcoming Villa Paradizo festival series. In addition, Scion racer Pat Cyr will be at the show with the new car he will be racing in 2015, which features a 2JZ-GTE engine that can generate up to 1,000 horsepower.
