The Grand Prix Motorcycling Commission convened in Assen, in the Netherlands on Friday July the 4th and a resolution was adopted that will see the 250cc Class and be replace by a new 600cc Class, starting in 2011.
The goal behind this decision is to help pilots to a much smoother transition into the MotoGP category.
The application for this new resolution will start in 2011 and, in the meantime, manufacturers interested in this new category will be able to submit their demands to the Commission and Dorna before July 31st 2008.
