The Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM) has published the entry list for the 2009 MotoGP Championship, confirming a 19-rider field.

There will be only one privateer Ducati for Sete Gibernau under the new Grupo Francisco Hernando banner which means that there will be 5 Italian bikes on the grid; two for the factory Ducati team and two entered by Pramac Racing, known before as the Alice team.

Honda is back with more than six bikes; two for the factory team, two for Gresini and one each for LCR Honda and Scot Racing.
