Marlboro Ducati's Casey Stoner continued on his dominant week-end by winning the MotoGP Dutch Grand Prix at Essen.

This victory was the second one in less than a week, the Australian won the British Grand Prix at Donington and his third of the season.

The championship lead has changed hands from Fiat Yamaha's Valentino Rossi to Repsol Honda's Dani Pedrosa.

Stoner is now 29 points out of first place while a few days ago he was 45 points back.

Rossi had a bad start and as he tried to recover he lost the rear at the second corner and crashed into the Randy de Puniet taking them both out.

De Puniet was injured in the fall and had to retire.
