MotoGP: John Hopkins to miss Germany and Laguna Seca

Kawasaki's John Hopkins will not be able to take part in the next two MotoGP rounds to be race in Germany and in Laguna Seca. The American has undergone surgery on his left leg he injured at the race in Essen a couple of weeks ago.

Kawasaki team boss Michael Bartholemy says that they hope Hopkins will be able to return into action at Brno on August 17.

There will be no replacement for the German round and a substitute rider could be announce in the next few days for the American round.
