Fiat Yamaha's Valentino Rossi won one of the most exciting race of the season today at Laguna Seca in California during the Red Bull Grand Prix of USA. Rossi ended Casey Stoner dominant series of victories.
With that win, Rossi extended his lead at the top of the championship while Casey Stoner, who managed to finish second despite a fall with 8 laps remaining, moving up pass Dani Pedrosa who did take part to the race because of his injuries.
Chris Vermeulen completed the podium, as front row starter Nicky Hayden fell back to fifth behind Andrea Dovizioso.
Rossi's teammate Jorge Lorenzo had a violent high-side right on the start of the race and he might have been injured, once again to one of his feet.
