If you're like me, you always have trouble understanding what Formula 1 drivers are saying. Quotes often need translation, and some are pure gems. My favourite quotes always come from Ferrari's - soon to be BAR Honda's - Rubens Barrichello. You really need a violin every time he opens his mouth, and you can sing along. The tune is, 'you poor, poor, boy.'
After Brazil, his home race, he said this.... "I had a good race, but I was blocked
by the people ahead of me and I had nowhere to go really and could never really push to the maximum. It was a shame."
Translation; "Michael beat me again." Hey Rubens, you finished some 20 seconds behind Giancarlo Fisichella - that would have been a good time to push to the 'maximum'.
More Bad News for "American" Open Wheel Racing
The Champ Car series race which was scheduled to be held in South Korea on October 16th is now cancelled. Preparations were lagging behind and "money not having been paid", seems to have been at the root of the problems. It was not said which way the money was going, but one would suspect that Champ Car wasn't about to load all that equipment up before getting being paid...
