Rubens Barrichello will not get an early release from his Ferrari contract so he can begin testing for Honda, formerly BAR Honda. Ferrari's Jean Todt said that Barrichello will remain under contract until Jan 1, but he will not test for Ferrari - or Honda. Ferrari doesn't want Barrichello to experience the new 2006 Ferrari and then take that knowledge to Honda...
....Red Bull quietly announced that it will end its driver development program in the USA. The program has apparently achieved its goal of producing an American F1 driver - Scott Speed - and sees no need to continue.
