Andrew Ranger, (Ford No 27) made a last lap pass at Scott Steckley (Dodge No 22) Sunday afternoon at the NASCAR Canadian Tire road race at the Grand Prix de Trois-Rivières to win the event.
Following Ranger and Steckley were Jason Hathaway (Dodge No 3) and D.J. Kennington (Dodge No 17). Local driver Jean-François Dumoulin (Pontiac No 07) ended up 7th followed by former Formula Ford champ Didier Schraenen (Chevy No 94) who had started at the end of the pack.
A few hours before the start of the race, in a surprise announcement, Andrew Ranger learned that not only would he drive the No 22 Fitz Motorsport Dodge Charger in the Nationwide series at Bristol next Friday evening but that he would be behind the wheel of that same car until the end of the season!
