Team Penske Racing driver Brad Keselowski was, apparently, not seriously injured while testing a NASCAR car at the Road Atlanta sports car circuit.

Keselowski’s personal Twitter account tweeted that he was about to be released.

In other Twitter updates:

Keselowski tweeted: "In a serious accident today while testing road Atlanta. Hit wall head on in a 155mph corner after brakes failed. Airlifted to hospital."

Later he added "Looks like I'll be ok to race this weekend. Blue deuce, not so much. I'll keep u posted." The Blue Deuce refers to the #2 Miller Lite Dodge he drives.

“Looking at data with engineers in hospital bed. Was going 155, car slowed to approx 100 before hitting a non-safer barrier wall head on.”

Then he posted photographs showing a severely swollen left ankle and lacerations on the right ankle, but, he wrote that x-rays were negative.

Commenting on his rival’s hard hit five –time Sprint Cup Champion on Jimmie Johnson’s Twitter account was the tweet: "He is one tough dude, I can say that much."

Here’s the official statement from Penske Racing.

“Brad Keselowski was involved in an accident today at Road Atlanta while testing. He was transported to an Atlanta area hospital for further evaluation. Brad was able to exit the car under his own power, but as a precautionary measure was taken to the hospital. Penske Racing will provide further communication as details become known."
