Joey Logano had a little help from a rival to take the Nationwide Series race win away from teammate, Kyle Busch at Kansas Speedway.

Brad Keselowski gave Logano the push he needed to take the win and finished second as Busch settled for third.

Logano, who started from the pole, explained “I pushed him (Keselowski) to the win at Talladega. I pushed a lot of people to the wins at Talladega and I haven’t won one there yet, but it was cool to see him behind me and helping me out and able to push me ahead. It was the best thing to do for the both of us really.”

Keselowski admitted it was positive payback Keselowski said: “Joey helped me win a race at Talladega so I owned him one. Great shot a winning but we’ll keep digging.”

As Busch said: “When Brad pushed him (Logano) on that final restart there was nothing I could do. I knew pretty much that I was racing him (Keselowski).

Once again Busch led the most laps only to lose the race to someone else.
The battle for the win came down to two late race restarts. On the first one Logano and Busch were not so friendly.

“We never touched each other,” added Logano after his second-straight win in Kansas. “But, that was a tough decision because I started on the bottom the whole time and I figured I had to start on the top. Everyone was starting up there all day and I felt like it was the thing to do. Last time I was put in that situation was California -- I was thinking about it -- how I got beat that race.”

Busch gave it his best shot: “I knew we didn’t have the best race car but we made a valiant effort. We got so loose there in the middle part of the race and obviously proved that pretty well by spinning myself out, but we made it back,” he added.

Kevin Harvick led early, but, finished fourth.

Ricky Carmichael, the motocross legend known as “GOAT” (greatest of all time) had a promising debut after starting 12th. He finished 18th despite a good shot at a top-ten finish.
