As Johnson explained "I heard that he was looking outside near the middle of the corner. Once he got there and broke the plane of my bumper, spotter said, ‘outside,’ I was dead in the water."

Earlier Kyle Busch appeared ready to sweep another weekend of NASCAR racing winning on Saturday he led 151-laps on Sunday only to have his car get loose and fade at the end to third place.

"You're essentially a sitting duck waiting for those guys to drive by you. Couldn't get any more out of the car. That was it. It would push, get loose, that was all we had," Busch said.

With only four cautions the 400-mile race was completed in a little more than 2 and ½ hours.

Kevin Harvick led only one lap, the final lap, for his first win of the year and 15th in his career. Carl Edwards, who finished sixth, now leads the points over Ryan Newman who finished fifth.

Kyle Busch’s teammate, Denny Hamlin’s, tough year got tougher with an engine problem. Denny Hamlin who was runner-up to Johnson last year is 21rst after six races.

"At this point, yeah, it’s starting to affect me. I’m worried a little bit more. It’s frustrating because you want to do your best each week."
