Kyle Busch (Camry No 18) also nicknamed «Wild Thing» avenged yesterday's insult in the Nationwide race at the Bristol Motor Speedway by winning the NASCAR Sprint Cup Food City 500 on Sunday afternoon after leading some 378 laps of the race.

His Joe Gibbs Racing teammate Denny Hamlin (Camry No 11) who led seven laps came in second. Jimmie Johnson (Chevy No 48) also led part of the race that was slowed by only nine yellow flag situations for 58 short laps (the track is barely a half mile long) but had to take the third spot followed by Jeff Gordon (Chevy No 24) who still leads the championship after this race and Kasey Kahne (Dodge No 9) in fifth.

Mark Martin (Chevy No 5) who had the pole (a second in the last two races) ended up sixth and we should mention that Ryan Newman (Chevy No 39), driving for Tony Stewart's team finished 7th and rookie Marcos Ambrose (Camry No 47) was tenth though his engine had dropped a cylinder close to the end!

Despite a very late pit stop, crowd favourites Dale Earnhardt (Chevy No 88) and Carl Edwards (Ford No 99) were respectively 14th and 15th.

Next Sunday, the Sprint Cup series moves to another half-mile short track, the very flat and very difficult Martinsville oval nicknamed the "Paperclip"!
