Get out the brooms. Kyle Busch swept his-second-straight Bristol Motor Speedway weekend.

That is the last five NASCAR sanctioned events covering its’ top three series, two Sprint Cup, two Nationwide Series and the truck race last August. His five Cup victories tie him with older brother Kurt Busch. In total Kyle has 11 wins at the high-banked half-mile.

The victory wasn’t as easy as the statistics though. He had to battle side-by-side with nemesis, Carl Edwards for the last 37-laps.

"Great pit stop on the last run down pit road," Kyle Busch complimented his crew. "They gave me a great job so I could get out and have the track position that I wanted and have the lane I wanted to restart in. Kind of gave me a little bit easier job instead of having to pass some of those guys. It would have made it interesting for sure. Carl tried to make it interesting. Gave me a little bit of a shot there?"

Jimmie Johnson, who finished third led the most laps and was the race leader before the final pit stop had one crew member slip up and Busch’s Joe Gibbs Racing Team got him out of the pits in the lead followed by pole-sitter, Carl Edwards, who ended up second. Johnson came out fourth on lap 429.

"The race off pit road is what got us," said Jimmie Johnson. "That track position was everything. Really, the No. 18 (Kyle Busch) and I didn't see much of the No. 99 (Carl Edwards) all day. We were pretty equal on pace. Whoever had clean air was going to be in control. We just didn't get off pit road in front of everybody. Great stops all day long, just a little off there at end."
