For the first time in his NASCAR career, Colombian Juan Pablo Montoya (Dodge No 42) had grabbed the pole position of a Sprint Cup race. That was right before NASCAR took it back... He will start dead last.

The Camping World RV Sales 400 that will be run Sunday afternoon at the Kansas Speedway will then be lead by last year's champ, Jimmie Johnson (Chevy No 48).

Mark Martin (Chevy No 8) and Matt Kenseth (Ford No 17) will start from the second and third spot.

Ironically, seven of the contenders to the Cup will start from the 24th place and further, including series point leader Carl Edwards (Ford No 99) who ran the 35th time, but will start 34th after Montoya's penalty.

As far as Patrick Carpentier (Dodge No 10) is concerned, he qualified in the 20th spot, and, consequently, will start 19th.
