Veteran Scott Riggs (photo) will make his PRISM Motorsports debut driving the No. 66 Toyota in the August 15 Carfax 400 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Michigan International Speedway this weekend.

Riggs replaces Dave Blaney who had qualified for 17 of the previous 22 Cup races with a best finish of 29th at Las Vegas.

Riggs’ record book consists of 176 career starts in the Sprint Cup Series, since 2004, including four top-five finishes, 16 top-10 finishes and three pole awards.

"Scott clearly has an impressive racing resume and we are excited to bring a driver with his experience to PRISM Motorsports,” said Phil Parsons, a broadcaster and former driver, who serves as a co-owner of the team, along with Randy Humphrey.

“Dave Blaney has been instrumental in getting our team started and to this point in the 2010 race season, so we are thankful to him and wish him the best in his future endeavours.”

Riggs has made 10 previous Sprint Cup starts at Michigan International Speedway, finishing second in the August 2005 edition of the race. He also has a top-five finish in NASCAR Nationwide Series competition at the two-mile track
