NASCAR’s tough anti-drug policy has caught another crew member in its’ net.

Robert Good, a crew member for the No. 26 team in the NASCAR Nationwide Series, has been indefinitely suspended from NASCAR for violating the sanctioning body’s substance abuse policy.

The #26 team is a Dodge piloted by Michael McDowell at California’s Auto Club Speedway this weekend.

Good violated Sections 12-1 (actions detrimental to stock car racing) and 7-5 (violation of the NASCAR substance abuse policy) of the 2009 NASCAR rule book. Good’s violation came on Oct. 9.

There are random drug tests of individuals, however the press release did not name the offending substance.

This year NASCAR has been enforcing random drug tests which resulted in 11 crew members suspensions. Jeremy Mayfield is the only driver suspended under these rules and he is involved in a lengthy court case to restore his license.
