LOS ANGELES — New Line Cinema and America Online will auction the 1972 convertible Corvette Stingray used by Chris Tucker and Jackie Chan in the hit film "Rush Hour 2" beginning August 14th at auction.newline.com, it was announced today by Jim Rosenthal, President of New Line Television and New Media.

America Online will serve as the exclusive online promotional partner for the auction, which will be prominently featured on AOL through the Welcome Screen and Entertainment channel. In addition, for the blockbuster's fans, AOL's Moviefone.com is offering exclusive blooper footage, an interview with Jackie Chan, and a chance to win a trip for two to Hong Kong in the "Rush to Hong Kong" Sweepstakes running now through September 8.

The classic Corvette was prominently used in the production of the blockbuster sequel as well as the original "Rush Hour," which was released in 1998 and earned more than $250 million worldwide at the box office.

"Rush Hour 2" has earned $133.5 million in its first ten days of release.

The Corvette is in excellent condition and comes complete with a new paint job and an AM/FM stereo and CD player. The car features power steering and a 350 cubic inch engine with 360 lbs. FT Torque. The dash board has been signed by both Chris Tucker and Jackie Chan.

The auction for the Corvette is being conducted in association with Spectrum Auction Company, and bidding will end on August 28th at 3 P.M. (ET). Shipping costs are not included in the winning bid. New Line Cinema will donate a portion of the proceeds generated from the auction to charity.
