Introduced at the 2011 Frankfurt Auto Show as the Kubang Concept, Maserati's new SUV will finally be called Levante and produced in the U.S. for 2014 alongside the Jeep Grand Cherokee, which shares the same platform.

In other news, the Italian automaker announced that its all-new Ghibli sedan will likely be unveiled next spring at the Geneva Auto Show or possibly Shanghai's. The name was first used by Maserati on a two-seat coupe launched in 1967.

With these new models, the plan is to boost global sales from 6,150 units last year to 50,000 by 2015.

Both the Ghibli and the redesigned Quattroporte will be built at a former Carrozzeria Bertone plant near Turin, while the GranTurismo coupe and GranCabrio convertible will remain at Maserati's home plant in Modena.
