The new 2004 model features a 3.6-L 6-cylinder engine that reaches an amazing maximum speed of 278 km/h (174 mph), equaling the current 911 Carrera 4S coupe. What's more 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) takes mere 5.3 seconds, only two tenths of a second shy of its hard top sibling. This is particularly stirring since it has an additional 70 kg (154 lbs) in curb weight.
Speaking of fast the Carrera 4S's premium quality soft top takes only twenty seconds to unlock and fold beneath its protective tonneau cover.

The C4s Cabriolet is 60 mm (2.36 in) wider than the standard 911 Carrera, just like the coupe, and also shares the same horizontal center taillight strip, paying homage to 911s of the mid to late 1970s and '80s.
