year history. The first president to ride in a Cadillac was Woodrow Wilson, in a World War I victory parade through the streets of Boston.

Coolidge used a 1928 Cadillac limousine, one of two that stretched 6.4 meters (21 feet) in length, and totaled 3,175 kilos (7,000 pounds) each. Other presidents to use Cadillac limousines included Ronald Reagan and Bill Clinton, the latter of which received a 1993 Fleetwood Brougham; the first presidential limo designed, developed and built entirely within General Motors Corp.

Following what may become the norm in generations to come, GM designed, engineered and built Bush's new DTS limousine.
