feature the same front and rear styling as on the production car.

Specifically, while the black-on-black limousine is longer and taller than the production DTS, its egg-crate grille, vertically stacked xenon headlamp clusters and distinctive LED taillights appear just like the 2006 version of Cadillac's largest car, according to reliable sources.

Cadillac will follow its recent naming formula by designating its next generation flagship sedan DTS (which originally stood for DeVille Touring Sedan), and dropping its longstanding DeVille nomenclature; a family name

for "from the village or town" from the Ardennes area of France, a location made memorable by the famous "Battle of the Bulge".

The new DTS won't be fighting the bulge as previous models did, however, now sporting new lightweight materials, rear-wheel drive and an agile chassis setup to match its sophisticated Northstar powerplant.

The new 2006 DTS, expected to arrive in dealerships this fall, will be produced at Cadillac's Detroit-Hamtramck assembly plant.
