Are these new trends involving sleek and sexy lines the basis for Nissan's future products? The vice-president replied with an enigmatic smile only Asians have mastered. "I can't tell you what we're working on now, but I know that we plan on exploring new, virgin spheres. We'll see where this leads us," he said.

According to him, we shouldn't expect a future replacement for the defunct Q45, that big sedan which had a lukewarm popularity. However, the door is still open for a more exotic sports car in the Infiniti lineup. "Everything is possible, especially now that we have better defined the core values and character traits of our brand. Our lineup will soon become global (Editor's note: Infiniti will strengthen its presence in Europe over the next 12-24 months by launching in 8 new countries) and we believe that every scenario and idea must be analyzed. At least that's the challenge we have set for ourselves," concludes Shiro Nakamura.
